Here's another wonderful little thing I've been working with. I've shown the mid-production work to a few friends and they keep saying I'm insane and/or a genious for thinking this up. I gotta ask though, who DIDN'T think that the cute, fuzzy critters in the neighbourhood of Animal Crossing would eventually and inevitably wind up in some kind of horror parody movie poster? If this has been done before I am not aware of it just so ya know...

It's hand-drawn and inked but the colors, character placement and the texture on the logo and whatnot were all photoshopped, thus it's in digital art. I tried putting a makeshift logo in the corner, not sure what I should have as my logo but this seems simple enough.


Animal Crossing (Tom Nook, Mabel, etc.) are property Nintendo

[EDIT] Well, this was one of the prints I used for Katsucon, I wound up completely re-vamping the color-job to make it look better. The end result I completely screwed up the red sign (it needed to be much darker) and it pixilates, so I'm probably going to have to just re-draw it entirely if I edit it any further.

I like the overall design looks like something you'd actually see on a cover. The clouds are my favorite part ;)

The grass texture is my favorite part of this. And I can strangely picture Tom Nook wielding a shotgun too...

The grass was actually a square from the game I took, imitated via Photoshop and skewed. And yeah, Tom's a shotgun guy without a doubt.

Thanks, I was a little worried that the clouds were a little too simple compared to the grass. As for the cover I'm glad that works out, since I was trying to go for a movie-poster type of layout.

I think they're just right, they don't distract, and it was in danger of getting a little too busy at the top. I think more detail probably would have distracted from the text.
